A St. Joan of Arc Ministry
serving
Hennepin County Medical Center

Mission:

  • To provide fully trained Eucharistic Ministers who act in accordance with the standards and policies of Hennepin County Medical Center
  • To provide access to those who request Communion
  • To provide a caring presence and a listening ear without judgment or any attempt to counsel
  • To be fully aware of the cultural differences represented in the patient population and to treat each staff person and patient with sensitivity and respect
  • To observe the essence of the hippocratic oath which exhorts us to "do no harm"
If You:
  • Like to work with people
  • Have the patience to listen
  • Enjoy differences in people
  • Don't mind following rules when it protects people
  • Have a heart bigger than your fear
  • Smile easily, laugh deeply
  • Believe it is an honor to serve Communion

Then:  You are the ideal Eucharistic Minister

The purpose of life is to matter,
to mean something.
-Albert Camus
