Prayer Partners

... a St. Joan of Arc
Collaborative Prayer Ministry
Who are the Prayer Partners?

Prayer Partners consists of a group of St. Joan of Arc parishioners who initiate, create and administer prayer services throughout the year for various occasions.

What do Prayer Partners do?

Since 1991 this group of dedicated parishioners has presided and/or assisted at many liturgies and prayer services throughout each year. Among these many annual services are: The weekly Friday Morning Prayer, Lake Harriet service in Summer, Healing services in Fall and Spring, Blessing of the animals, Memorial Service in November, Advent Evensong, Advent Reconciliation, Blessing of Expectant families, Lenten Soup and Prayer, Valentine Couples' Re-commitment, Lenten Reconciliation Good Friday and more.

The Prayer Partners also are available for individual services or blessings upon request. They might be: A graveside memorial, a miscarriage healing service, prison ministry assistance, new home blessing or any other ritual or blessing that individuals or families might want or need.

What are a Prayer Partner's Qualifications?

The Prayer Partners are members of the parish who want to learn more about prayer and ways to partner with others to deepen their prayer life. Leading prayer is one of the gifts given to us through Baptism. Through our parish mission of collaborative ministry we are encouraged and guided to lead prayer services, we in turn help each other to extend that gift to others. We are all 'prayer partners' whenever we pray with and for each other in our daily lives and as a community on Sundays as well.
