Gather All For a Communal Sing Along: Me N' You N' Vatican TwoFifty years ago the Second Vatican Council opened an era of dialogue and change, guitars and burlap. Next month the Church of St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis will present Me ‘N You ‘N Vatican Two, a Sing-along for the birth of the guitar mass on Sunday evening February 26. Host and pianist Dan Chouinard brings together a cast of musicians and clergy to sing and talk about it: Patty Peterson, LeRoy and Sharon Vague, Fred and Anna Mae Vagle, Bill Chouinard, Cyril Paul, Rev. Jim DeBruycker, pastor of St. Joan of Arc, and many more.
Sing along to the strummy strains of those first guitar mass tunes and see how much we’ve changed since then. Or how little.

The most important reasons to forgive are freedom and peace for ourselves (and it just might benefit others too!) Tickets are $15 and will be on sale after Mass on Sunday, January 29 and February 5 or you can register online at this link. Scholarships are available. First Eucharist 2012First Eucharist is celebrated by students in the second grade. Parents and children attend several meetings and workshops and complete the home study program together. Letters regarding First Communion information will be mailed in February 2012 to households with second grade students registered in our Elementary Religious Education program. Although First Communicants are not required to be registered in religious education classes, they must be members of St. Joan of Arc.
