Efrain Juarez With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our brother, Efrain Juarez, on Tuesday, October 11th, 2005. A dear friend in our sister parish, Tierra Nueva Dos, Guatemala, Efrain was diagnosed with esophagus cancer in July. Efrain was a founding member of the church of San Marcos in Tierra Nueva Dos and a founding member of the hermanamiento committee. He will be dearly missed by the many who knew him in Minnesota as well as Guatemala. Efrain is survived by his wife, Estela, and his children, Norma, Juan Felipe, and Josefina.

Dear Juárez Family:

We are very sorry for your great loss of husband and father.  He has been a great friend of our community and he has done much to improve our sister parish relationship.  From the first day that we visited Tierra Nueva Dos almost eleven years ago, Efrain has been a rock in the foundation of the relationship we have built.  We will always remember his spirit, his understanding, his musical talent, his leadership, his tranquility and his friendship.  We feel blessed to have known him and even more to count him as friend and brother.  Really, the life of Efrain has served as a model for us of how to live, how to serve, and how to love.  We are better to have had Efrain in our lives.  You are in our prayers in these very difficult days.  And as always we are with you in solidarity, willing to serve you in any moment.
