Katharine translated letters from Eluvia and from Miriam and Bernardo.
We haven't had representatives at the cart lately. There hasn't been much demand even when someone was there. We talked about ordering a book ("Through a Glass Darkly") for a discussion group that Tim said he would be willing to lead.
We set the date for the candle sale at November 20th.
We will have a retreat to discuss and reflect on the July delegation on September 17th from 12:00 to 3:30. We'll start with a pot luck lunch at 12:00 in the parish center.
The International Ministries Sunday will be September 25th and we will have a table. Michael will coordinate it. Katharine and Ross can help, others? Leslie, Mindy and Katharine expressed interest in attending the International Ministries at SJA on September 20th and 7:30 a.m. (yes, A.M.).
We plan to have a delegation information meeting for those interested after the 11:00 Mass on October 9th. Louise will put it in the bulletin. We will discuss the dates for the delegation at this meeting.
Louise reported on the meeting in Seattle, August 5-7. A small but committed group of about 20 people were there. Fernando from TNI was the southern representative and lead the group in a reflection based on the creation story in Genesis. Shannon talked about changes in Sr. Parish. We were asked for input on the best dates for the next meeting and we felt that the end of September 2006 was best for us.
Louise and Mindy solicited donations for the Walk for Justice in which they both will participate.
