1. Claire's presentations

Claire has done two research projects in school that are relevant to our Sister Parish activities. One of the topics is the growing problem of feminicide in Guatemala and in Latin America in general. The other topic is human trafficing. Claire gave a brief summary of the results of her research. She will prepare a list of interview questions that the delegation can use to investigate how these topics relate to TN2 and send it to Leslie.

2. Feast Day of San Marcos

It was suggested that we should plan some way to acknowledge the feast day of San Marcos Evangelista on April 26th next year. This is another way of calling to mind our solidarity with TN2.

3. Ministries International Representative

Leslie has indicated that she is unable to continue attending the SJA Ministries International meetings as a represetative of the Sister Parish Committee. Our second respresentative, Rita, cannot attend all the meetings, so we need a volunteer to take Leslie's place. Ross will send an email to the email list asking for volunteers. The Ministries International meetings are typically held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Center. The next meeting, however is on June 17th. Claire and Rick said they would be willing to fill in over this summer.

4. Room reservations for Meetings

Ross made room reservations on the first Wednesday of the month for the Sister Parish Committee meetings for the next six months. The alternate meeting date, the 3rd Wednesday, was not included in the reservations since it is used so seldom.

5. Walk in Solidarity

We need a volunteer to organize the Walk in Solidarity this year at SJA. This walk is a fundraiser for Sister Parish, Inc. The volunteer should be identified by July 20th so a walk can be scheduled in the August 15th - September 15th timeframe. Louise is the contact. Ross will send out an email to request volunteers for this activity as well.

The next meeting will be held on July 2nd at the usual time and place.
