Michael has found pre-cut, lead-free wicks at an online site. They are inexpensive. We are wondering if we can send them back to Tierra Nueva Dos with the Tierra Nueva Uno delegation in June. If that is not enough time for the candles to be made for the Tierra Nueva Dos/SJA delegation, we may send them via Fed Ex/DHL, or regular mail.
Louise Eidsmoe will be walking and raising money for Sister Parish through the Walk for Justice. She will be giving up her leadership role in the organization and is looking for a replacement. She says it is very valuable for learning about fundraising.

The delegates need to obtain Guatemalan passports. They also need to apply for U.S. visas at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City.
Our Sister Parish committee hopes to facilitate the visa process by providing a letter from Minnesota members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
Julie Madden can help us to find contact persons in their Minnesota offices. Our pastor needs to write a letter on SJA stationary that includes each delegate's name and passport number. That letter must be faxed to the U.S. Embassy and the Sister Parish Center on the same day of the appointment for visas. Julie can fax the letter when we know the date.
