a.. Ministries International is trying to get John Perkins or Bill Moyer to come and talk about US economic influence.
b.. We are also discussing ways to have travellers feed back to the community soon after their trips.
c.. Ministries International is scaling back meeting to every other month.
d.. On Wednesday, May 17th, in the gym at 7:00 the group coming back from Africa will share about their trip.
e.. The Ministries Fair is on Mother's Day. We will need to host a table. Leslie will bake cookies again. Susan Sell will watch the table after the 9:00 Mass. Mindy will send an email asking for volunteers afor 11:00. Jenny will try to get the brochure ready.
The date is June 17th for the potluck. Mindy will ask to have the social hall reserved. Ross will contact Nelson about getting a greeting from TNII for that night.
(This is a summary of what we discussed.)
a.. Use our mission statement as a basis for the goals.
b.. We are planning a North-to-South and a South-to-North delagation, one each summer.
c.. We will continue to support programs in TNII.
d.. Candle Sales (money we raised didn't cover as many South-to-North delegates last year as before due to trips being more expensive.)
e.. We want to raise awareness and engagement @ SJA (staff and community)
f.. We will continue to do the bible study.
g.. The focus is building/maintaining the relationship with TNII.
h.. We'd like to do a North-to-South youth delagation in two to three years.
i.. Mindy will draft a letter for Peter that lists our goals. (attached)
