Bob, Jenny and Leslie reported on various things going on in the Diocese relative to CAFTA. The last of our bulletin announcements will be this week. On April 14th there will be a debate at St. Catharine's and on April 21st there will be a march in St. Paul ending at Coleman's office. There will be a table at mass this Sunday to pass out brochures.
Katharine translated Bernardo's letter for the committee. Mindy will talk to Fr. George about writing a letter inviting Padre Juan Pablo.
We discussed Alejandro's letter which Mindy has sent out before the meeting. We can stage the funds for the Scholarship Project to help with the delegation expenses.
We discussed the Scholarship Project and wondered what is the current number of boys versus girls in the list.
The Delegation is currently planned for July 8th - 18th. Mindy will talk to Fr. George about a letter inviting Padre Juan Pablo and will seek someone to coordinate planning activies. Carol commented that she would like any common Bible study that might be planned to happen early in the trip - maybe Tuesday the 12th? - since she will be going out of town. Ross and Katharine will talk to Tom about securing the second Sunday of the trip for the delegation to speak at Mass.

Ross asked everyone to send any comments or content they would like to see on the site. He said that there is a section of the site for TNII to include things if they would like to. Ross will send something to Bernardo to see if that is something we could do. Jenny said she has pictures of the Fr. George walking through the Alfombra with the TNII stole on that can be used in a report on the website and will send something to Ross.

Bob, Jenny y Leslie hablaron acerca de varias actividades con respecto al Tratado de Libre Comercio en la diócesis de San Pablo y Minneapolis, (Minnesota).
La décima y última razón la que explica porque el Congreso de EE UU no debe votar a favor del Tratado se publicará en el boletín dominical el 10 del presente.
Habrá un debate sobre el Tratado el día 14 de abril en la Universidad de Santa Catalina (College of Saint Catherine).
Habrá una manifestación cerca del capitolio en San Pablo el día 21 de abril para protestar el Tratado.
Leímos la carta de Bernardo. Mindy hablará con el padre George sobre una invitación formal al padre Juan Pablo.
Podemos pagar los fondos para el Proyecto de Becas en etapas.
Hablamos sobre el Proyecto. Nos gustaría saber de los 12 elegidos ¿cuántas son mujeres?

Mindy va a solicitar la ayuda de un(a) voluntario(a) para coordinar la planificación de la próxima delegación. Carol dice que no va a estar en Minneapolis durante unos días en julio, pero que se puede tener una junta de Los Peregrinos el día 12. Katharine y Ross hablarán con Tom Smith-Myott (Director de la Formación de Adultos) para que reserve un tiempo para la homilía para el domingo 17 de julio.
No hubo discusión.
Ross pidió que todos comentaran sobre el nuevo sitio web. Dijo que quiere incluir una sección de TNII. Queremos saber si los miembros del comité de TNII les interesarían escribir algo para el sitio web de Santa Juana de Arco. Ross se comunicará con Bernardo al respecto. Jenny tiene fotos de padre George caminando en la alfombra. ¡ Lució la estola de TNII la que le presentamos el domingo de Pascua!
La próxima reunión de Los Peregrinos tomará lugar el 21 de abril en la casa de Carol.
Rigoberto Menchú dará una charla el día 28 de abril en la Universidad de Santo Tomás a las 20:00 horas.
