Claire reported on her work creating an educational day for youth at Cretin-Durham Hall high school. It is called the Youth Summit for the Americas and it's aim is youth awareness of justice issues. All were invited.
We have received several names of people in Tierra Nueva 2 who wish to initiate a pen pal relationship with someone at SJA. We talked about what kind of orientation will be needed for those who respond so that the philosophy of solidarity is clear.
A parish awareness Sunday is being planned for September. All of the various internationally oriented groups at SJA will be highlighted and given space to present a summary of the work they are doing.
Mindy confirmed that we sent $2350 for the scholarships, and that $950 more is needed according to our budget.
The homily time has been reserved for the delegation to present at mass on July 29th, the second Sunday of the delegation.
April 4th will be a working meeting for the alfombra. It will be assembled on Saturday, April 7.
