Agenda

Repeal the Torture:

Bob Heberle will be setting up a table to sign petitions to repeal the Military Commission Act of 2006. This will take place on 7 Jan before and between the masses.

Book Discussion:

We will wait until March to discuss Thomas Melville's book, Through a Glass Darkly. We need to check with Tim re day of week and time.

Resource Center of the Americas:

The Resource Center needs financial help. What can we do?

Candles:

Can we obtain clean wicks? We may sell candles when the delegation is here in late July or early August. We discussed the lower sales volume. Perhaps there is less interest and/or a need to have clean wicks. We may have another candle sale when Claire and Ashley speak at mass in the future.

Budget/Expense Report:

What have we sent to Tierra Nueva Dos via Sister Parish?

Delegation:

Four choices have been made for date in late July and early August. Ross will e-mail them to Alejandro at Sister Parish in Guatemala. We plan to bring five delegates. Ross will inform Tom of the dates so homily time can be reserved for the delegates.

Trip to Guatemala:

Louise Eidsmoe is going to Guatemala from 8 Feb to 13 March. She will visit Tierra Nueva Dos at the beginning of her trip.

Archdiocese Events:

In lieu of another monthly meeting, we will have a Sister Parish retreat on Saturday, 20 Jan. from 9-12 noon. Ross will reserve a room in the Parish Center. We will order lunch from a local restaurant.
