Sister Parish Committee meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 pm. in the school. Newcomers are always welcome. If you have questions, please contact any of the members of the committee.
What follows are the minutes of the Wednesday, August 2, 2000 meeting.
Wednesday, August 2, 2000
Present: Louise, Mindy, Bob, Tim, Joel, Jeff, Rick, Sienna, Joe.
My apologies for the untimeliness of these minutes. I was waiting for the bios of the 8 delegates to include in the minutes. The bios are here now but alas in Espanol and me no habla. Hopefully we will get them to you soon. I wanted to get a notice out to you re: the meeting this Wednesday. Here are a truncated version of the minutes of August 2nd.
We received a letter from TNII with the bios of the 8 delegates, 4 youth and 4 adult. In the letter they talked about looking forward to Louise's visit in mid-August.
One of the delegates is Ephraim, a fine musician. Jeff will ask Anna Vagle if Ephraim can participate in the music in anyway on Mass on the 5th. That is the Sunday, the delegates will participate in the homily in some way.
Louise is attending(did attend) the Central Regional Advisory meeting in Iowa. Ruth Garrido will be there. Ruth is the SP Inc staff member who will accompany the delegation this fall. There will also be some member of the Southern Advisory committee at the meeting.
Louise leaves(left) for Guatemala on the 12th of August. She will be there until the 25th. She will spend at least one weekend in TNII. We sent her with a list of items to discuss among them talking to Padre Arturo. She will report on her visit at the meeting on the 30th.
We received the Shared Ministry signup list for Sister Parish. Bob will contact the 15 or so parishioners on the list and invite them to the meetings.
