Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils Cancer Workshop
Tuesday, December 5th, 2000

Linda Simon is Director of "Fit to Live". She puts on Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils Cancer workshops for discovering ways to find balance within your body. Linda had been looking for alternative measures in dealing with her breast cancer. She has done much research and discovered conventional chemical treatment is not your only alternative. She discovered therapeutic oils were highly effective and gave her choices. And in return, she is spreading the word to educate others about the benefits of using oils and massage therapy.

As Linda stated "This is a mental and emotional journey." Through her class she covers different topics each month. As 2 examples: Cutting your exposure to pesticides by 50% in Fruits and Vegetables, and Discovering Toxicity in your homes.

This particular night her guest was Training and Development coordinator Michael McDaniel. He is a trainer in essential oils, reflexologist and massage therapist. He credits his working experience with training professional sports players. He emphasized the spiritual side of caring about our bodies. He spoke of the importance of being deeply concerned with what we put into our bodies and how we need to look more closely at our habits. Michael demonstrated massage techniques on volunteers that demonstrated especially impressive results.

Linda stressed that this type of oil therapy is with the use of high-grade oils. This is far beyond conventional aromatherapy. She has statistics proving its effectiveness. But essentially she emphasizes the importance of choices you have. And given those choices one can strive to work in areas of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being.

Peg LaSota is interested in the biographies of parishioners... any suggestions?? She also loves studying piano, recorder, Spanish, and of course...singing in the choir!
There are plans for another upcoming workshop towards the end of January. Keep your eyes peeled..... this class warrants your presence.
