Family Day

What a colorful day we had today! The tie-dye t-shirts looked fabulous!

We met as usual for our large group time in the church with families. I hope you had a chance to hear the children sing the songs we've been learning this week. It gave me goose-bumps every day to hear them put their hearts into the songs!

It was also rewarding to recognize a few of the 72 volunteers who made camp possible. Planning has been going on since January and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with so many gifted, talented and dedicated people. If you ran a Learning Center, volunteered as a Global Leader or cut fabric and crowns or hung out for a day - THANK YOU! As Judy Moe (my fearless Assistant) said, "It takes a village to raise a camp!" Each person was integral to the success.

After volunteer recognition Racheal Kroog heated things up (literally since the air in the church went out) with music and dancing.

I hope everyone enjoyed the picnic that followed. This is the food that was served throughout the week; Tapas from Spain, Bulgolgi and Kimbob from Korea and Spanish Black Beans & Rice and tortillas from Cuba.

Hope everyone had a fun week. Evaluations will be going out in the mail this week. If your child was not there on the last day or if they forgot something a table will be set up in Hospitality Hall with t-shirt, clay pots, clothing and other assorted craft projects. Please pick them up after the 9:00 AM service this week or next. Don't forget the Family Word Comunion Services the month of June in the Church! Have a great summer! Janet
