I managed to capture some highlights of the alfombra making last Saturday in the bone-chilling sub-teen wind chill temps. These marvelous souls spent over eight hours in the frigid wind but glorious sun to create another masterpiece. This tradition was started in 1997 by those below who have remained faithful ever since!

Chief designers and craftspeople were: Rick Nelson and and wife Nancy, Tim, Mary Beth and Siena Leon-Getten with supporter Paloma, Mindy Olmstead and niece Michelle Ahler, Dannette Moore, Michael Rassier. Several other contributors and supporters were Leslie Knoblauch, Judy Miller and grandsons Oliver and Simon and Ken Simmons with grandson Tyler and member Louise Eidsmoe. Kathrine Malaga and Ross Starkson took a detour from a busy family commitment to give encouragement to the gang. Confirmation candidates Jane and Abby with sponsor Susan learned and enthusiastically contributed.

Overseeing and conferring his blessings on the project was the loyal supporter and encourager, Fr. Jim DeBruycker.

Sorry, but the brain freeze prohibits the names of other contributors
