Day 3 Pictures

Rick Spaulding is a photographer specializing in digital photography for the theater and works for National Camera Exchange. He is also an antique dealer and eBay afficianado who enjoys collecting marbles but his true joys in life are his two boys and his beautiful wife, Tinia.

These are preliminary photos from the road. Check back after the ride for complete textual and image stories by riders Michael Reinbold and Janice LaDuke. Thanks to Rick for sending us these early shots each night.

Day 3 is 'Red Day' where everyone wears red to honor the cause. Today Red Day also describes the temperature. HOT!!! Thankfully a good breeze helped make it bearable.

First stop is a "Grab & Go" courtesy of Chipotle with fruit, muffins & Caribou Coffee

My Grandma Joyce made 200 Rice Krispie Bars to hand out to the riders. Each one included a hand-written blessing. A typical scene along our beautiful route

Pit Two hams it up with a cowboy theme

The lunch crew had a red food theme. The tall guy is a cherry tart :-)

Ice water on the feet feels fantastic on this HOT day
