Editor's Note: We did not have a reporter at this years family camp, but a new webphotographer(s)... kinda ... took a few pictures. The new team member(s), Aslagtry, are bio'ed at the bottom of their pictures.

Check in time for most families at Friendship Ventures in Annandale is Friday evening or afternoon for those playing hookey from work. Here are some pictures of our campers arriving.

After check-in means finding your cabins and getting settled in. We have no shots from our family cabins, but our teens and chaperones were only too happy to share their digs.

On Saturday, much of the day is spent playing games, doing crafts and nature activities. Here are a few shots.

Late Saturday afternoon, everyone begins preparing for the big costume dance and bonfire. For some, preparing is the best part.

It's a Saturday Nite Dance Party.

After the dance is a bonfire and smores, a haunted graveyard walk for the teens and Rachel Kroog's campfire music.
See you at next year's Family Camp!
The Aslagtry's are proud to say that our two families have joined as one. Some of us are from the Watry family and others from the Aslagson family. All of us have been involved with volunteering for the different programs that serve the SJA families, youth, and kids. We all take turns photographing pictures at the different events that serve these ages. We are a Software Engineer Dad, a Homeschool Teaching mother, and a group of 5 or more kids age 10 to 16, some born and some acquired for varying lengths of time. Dad is Mr. Fix-It-Someday and loves antique steel wheel tractors. Mom likes to teach at home and in many other settings. We all like to spend time outside with either Dad or Mom; however, Mom usually incorporates some sort of fun physical labor. Mom is grateful that the kids help her go on hikes in the woods. The kids are kind enough to push her bike up the hills. Dad is usually on the computer or in the garage up to the "Honey do list" or his list. In our group besides tractors some or all of us like animals, nature, bikes, books, electronics, engines, telephones, walking on the wild side, campfires, history, cameras, art, swimming, boating, movies, and arguing about what color the truck should be painted.
