The St. Joan of Arc 10th, 11th, and 12th graders had their annual lock-out Friday, October 24th. A lock-out is a jammed packed night of fun, traveling from one event to another. The goal? To stay up all night. And most of the teenagers did just that.
Twenty-six teenagers started out their night at 9 pm by boarding a bus at the St. Joan of Arc parking lot and heading out into the night.

| Even at 4am the energy level was high. |
The youth started out by touring a haunted hayride. Most of the youth said that it was a pretty cool hayride, including monsters with chainsaws coming out of the trees. After the haunted fun, around 11:30 pm, they once again boarded a bus and headed to Grand Slam. Grand Slam is a popular teenager hang-out offering everything from video games to bumper cars. And of course, pizza.
Once the teenagers had a few hours of games and a few slices of pizza, they boarded the bus again. At that point it was 3 am and they headed back to St. Joan of Arc to watch movies in the Parish Center. At 6:30 am rolls and juice were served and the tired teens waited for their parents to pick them up at 7:00 am.

A full night for sure. Full of laughs, food, and fun. A great event that several teens commented would be fun to do more often. Though if you ask the chaperones … once a year is just about right.
