Team Oz rides again. On Monday, July 22th, 60+ members of Team Oz join the rest of the "pack" in the 9th annual Heartland AIDSRide from the Twin Cities to Chicago. There is talk that this may be the last Heartland AIDSRide. Many of Team OZ are riding in the shorter AIDSTrek ride the following week. On the Heartland ride, each rider must pledge over $2000 in the fight against AIDS. The money stays at institutions in the Midwest including our own Grace House(Have you read our series, "Stories of Grace" by Ronnie Angelus? Please take some time to read them.). We will again be providing daily coverage of the ride including photos. Web Reporters Edie Kalweit, Rick Spaulding, Michael Reinbold and Bridget Galeigh will be on the ride and feeding images and stories back to us. They will be carrying laptops and cameras and borrowing the phone line of the AIDSRide office each evening before bed. Our webmaster will be formatting the reports that evening and the next morning. We hope to have the reports linked here by 9 am. Please join us each day to watch how Team Oz progresses on their journey.

| Closing Ceremonies start time is:
4:30pm. Lincoln Park in Montrose Harbor. Click here for a map of the location of Montrose Harbor. Also note that Saturday night is' Venetian Night' in Chicago, beginning at 6:30pm. If you are a visitor to Chicago, expect to see a great fireworks display over the Lakefront that night. Hotel rooms with a lake view will be a special treat. With an estimated attendance of over half a million, ask your family and friends to give them selves a little extra time to arrive for the closing ceremonies. | |
