Join the gardeners every Wednesday night at 6:30 PM through the summer on the North Lawn.  Help Farmer Rick Klehr and Farmer Dan Chouinard build and tend, weed, water, shovel, and talk to the plants.
Before planting, the pile of stuff that makes your garden grow (manure) had to be spread out. Doesn't a blank slate of a garden look great? It makes you want to make more of them!
Watch this scene all summer as the garden grows. As long as no one moves the bench, it will be fun to see it as a marker.
Following the principle of encouraging neighborhood children to help, Precious and Glynn were give areas to plant, and given signs with their names on. I think Glynn (left) is growing green beans and Precious (right) has the beets.

Below, Precious is helping tend the other areas, too.

Precious again, our gardener in training! Everyone, get your hands dirty!

The garden has master plan. The bottom of the photo above is for marigolds that the kids of King's Academy will plant. The hope is that that will make the garden more a part of them, and less likely to have it stepped on. The other end is open for visitors.

Planting, weeding, etc. continues each week.
Come on down!
Get your hands dirty!
Have fun!
