| Pre-Vatican II Bingo Party Sunday, February 25th, 2001 |
The 60 people who attended the Bingo and Potluck event held Sunday February 25th had a great time. Julie Madden organized the event with the idea of having a fun time where families and individuals could get to know each other through a social event. Julie put a 50’s twist on the evening by encouraging people to dress up as one of the Cleaver family, and sure enough Ward, June and the Beaver were in attendance.

In addition to the Cleavers, there were many families, couples, and individuals of all generations in attendance. Potluck supper, complete with 50’s style Jell-O creations, was devoured with gusto, as the chatter and laughter from each table grew.
As dinner proceeded, the anticipation of the upcoming Bingo game rose. For a quarter a card, young and old alike eagerly waited for the magical number that would allow them to ‘BINGO!!!’. Winners chose from a pile of wrapped prizes, and the games continued until the prizes were gone.
With our stomachs full, new friends made, and the recommended daily allowance of fun and laughter reached, there was no doubt that the evening was a success.
