Cabaret zero
waste event
Really
convinced a lot of people it is the way to go. We’re “going compostable”
here at SJA; meeting coming up with Steve Friedrichs.
We achieved a
resource recovery rate of 95% which is remarkable for our first effort.
We collected 965 pounds of discards of which: 635 pounds were recycled
bottles, cans, and cardboard; 280 pounds were compostable products; and
only 50 pounds were trash. |
Clarence will send
numbers to Amy. Amy will draft a story for our webpage. |

Eco-Spirit
website
Tom agreed to
be contact person for email. Mike showed the site as it is so far. Many
ideas emerged: update mission statement and move it to “about us” page;
in history add DVD, wind energy, zero waste event, MN Energy challenge,
light-bulb give-away, + past actions; on front page put next meeting
info and minutes plus “hot green” feature |
