Mark your calendars for the Twin Cities’ musical event of the year. The 14th Annual SJA Cabaret will take place October 24 & 25 and its theme is entitled Music Therapy Cabaret. This yearly fundraiser benefits SJA’s Peace and Justice Fund.

- Nonviolent Peaceforce presently has a peace force in Sri Lanka.
- Bridging Inc. provides furniture for low-income families.
- Give Us Wings provides medical assistance in Kenya and Uganda.
- HOPE Community provides safe affordable housing in the Phillips neighborhood.
- Sister Sarah Productions is creating a documentary film that focuses on the financial and moral divide that the Sioux in the Midwestern U.S. face today.
- LAGOS promotes human rights for Guatemalans.
- ZOOM helps local neighbors in transition find stability.
- St. Anthony Developmental works with high-risk infants and toddlers to prepare them for school.
- Peace House provides a safe place for homeless men and women.
- Open Your Heart will help bring a 14 year-old Palestinian youth to MN for schooling.
- District 202 provides educational programming for GLBT youth.
- New Foundations deals with the issues of addiction, poverty and homelessness.
- Veterans for Peace works to end war.
- Hamline Midway Home Nursing assists elders to stay in their homes.
- Nokomis Healthy Seniors also helps elders to stay in their homes.
- Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers coordinates peace and justice efforts in the Twin Cities.
- Hiroshima/Nagasaki Commemoration Committee will work on events to remember the 60th anniversary of the bombings.
